R.E. Chatterton joins a local women’s 55+ community for an intimate conversation about the experiences that shaped her life—and ultimately led her to become an author.

Rather than a traditional book talk, Rachel will share pieces of the remarkable and sometimes difficult road behind Good Slave: growing up in North Carolina, surviving a life-changing childhood accident, spending much of her life within a high-control religion, navigating loss and major reinvention, and eventually finding the courage to tell her own story in her own words.

The afternoon will be less about giving a presentation and more about conversation, connection, resilience, and what it means to discover who you are after a lifetime of being told who you should be.

Rachel will also answer questions and share a little about what has happened since publishing Good Slave—including the unexpected new creative chapter that followed.

Signed copies of Good Slave will be available for purchase at the event.
